The Real Return on Investment for JSIF’s Summer Camp 2026: The investment in our Children

As the door closes on the JSIF’s 2026 summer camp cycle, we walk away with the realization that success cannot be measured only by the investment of $12million and the 1,200 direct beneficiaries, including 65 people, who benefitted from short term employment. It is measured in the smiles of children who discovered a new talent, the relief of parents who knew their child was in a safe environment, the gratitude of over 500 children and parents who were supported with back-to-school supplies and the relationships strengthen, including with the security forces, who played a major role in the camps located in the 7 Zones of Special Operations. We thank the Government of Jamaica for funding the Integrated Community Development Project 11 (ICDP 11) summer camp 2026 and the staff of JSIF for implementing another outstanding summer camp cycle. The campers wrapped up their summer with new skills and experiences, and the confidence needed to start the new school year on a high note.
