Ruth Chisholm

Ruth Chisholm is an accomplished project director and communications strategist with extensive experience managing local and internationally funded programs, and building high impact partnerships. She is an executive leader with over 20 years of experience directing large scale development, philanthropy, and social impact initiatives across the Caribbean with a track record in mobilizing resources, and strengthening systems. Her experience includes social marketing, crisis communications, and stakeholder engagement at national and regional levels, as well as results based management.

 

Ruth’s international development experience spans multiple sectors including education, workforce, climate change, sexual and reproductive health, youth development, agriculture and economic growth; working with organizations such as the USAID, the Red Cross, DEXIS Consulting Group and Population Services International (PSI). She also served as the Jamaica Country Director for the Advance Program – a workforce development initiative for the Caribbean and Latin America region, funded by USAID and implemented by FHI 360.

 

She is currently a programme manager at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

 

Ruth has an M.A. in Communication for Social and Behaviour Change and a B.A in Journalism and Mass Communication. A creative entrepreneur, who is also a book-loving, vinyl and film enthusiast who is passionate about public  service.
