Ms. Heather Pinnock is a Jamaican sustainability champion and development professional with training in Architecture, Urban Design and Project Management, as well as over 25 years of experience in construction and real estate. She is a graduate of the Bartlett School of Planning, University College London and the Caribbean School of Architecture, University of Technology, Jamaica.
Heather’s experience includes master planning, energy efficient buildings, and sustainability for housing and public spaces across the Caribbean region. She has served as a consultant to the Housing Development Corporation in Trinidad and Tobago and as Chief Technical Director in Jamaica’s Ministry of Water and Housing. In 2021, she concluded a successful stint leading one of the Government of Jamaica’s largest real estate development and management agencies, the Urban Development Corporation, where she raised the national standard for ‘making development happen sustainably’.
Heather’s more recent activities include being an asset management and planning advisor for major projects in Jamaica and the Caribbean, co-chair of the Commonwealth Women in Planning Network, a licensed real estate salesperson and a trainer in green building. She leads her own boutique advisory, LUCEA Caribbean, which offers services focussed on strategic planning, sustainable development, climate resilience and conscious living for tropical regions and small island developing states.
