The Government of Jamaica has received a loan from the World Bank towards the cost of the SECOND RURAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE (REDI II) PROJECT. The Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to cover payments under the following contract, CONSULTANCY FOR COMMUNITY-BASED TOURISM (CBT) MARKETING STRATEGY THROUGH THE MARKETING DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT PROJECT ON BEHALF OF THE JAMAICA TOURIST BOARD (JTB).

Thousands of Jamaican households are being provided with legal connections to electricity, through the Community Electrification Programme.
The Programme, which is being administered by Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF), in partnership with the Jamaica Public Service Company, has two components –house-wiring and pole line construction/extension.
