The Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD)/ World Bank assisted the Government of Jamaica (GoJ) in seeking additional funding for the Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) and was successful in securing a grant from the Government of the Netherlands in accordance with the Loan Agreement between the GoJ and the IBRD. On March 26, 1997, the GoJ and the IBRD, acting as Administrator of the grant, signed Dutch Grant Agreement No. TF024816 for US$ 3 million.
The grant financed sixteen (16) community projects, as well as, administrative support to the JSIF. The agreement ended on which closed May 1, 2000.
