JSIF’s Operations
The Project (JSIF) consists of a sub-project component and an organisational component.
In respect of the sub-project component, approximately 75% of the Fund’s budget is allocated to the funding of sub-projects, ie the
interventions directly benefitting our target groups. The remaining 25% is used for institutional support in the form of expenditure
related to staff, office, administrative, and technical assistance expenses.
Management
JSIF is managed by a Board, appointed by the Office of the Prime Minister. The Board of Directors is comprised of 10 persons drawn
from the public, private and non-governmental sectors. The Board meets at least once per month and has overall responsibilities
for approving sub-projects and related contracts. A Managing Director, who is an ex-officio member of the Board, directs JSIF’s
day-to-day operations.
Staff Complement
The staff complement of JSIF fluctuates within the range of 80 – 100 employees depending on the number of Portfolios being
managed at any one time.
