The project includes

• Procuring two wood chippers to manage bulky waste
• Construction of recycling stations and composting units
• Providing the NSWMA with five garbage trucks; two
tire shredders, two balers and technical training to
implement a pilot landfill intervention under the project.
JSIF continues to demonstrate strong commitment and
leadership in the environmental arena, by ensuring that
environmental stewardship remains a fundamental principle
and core value of the organization. Over the last nine
years, JSIF has demonstrated innovative efforts aimed at
protecting and preserving the island’s natural environment;
by implementing environmental management strategies that
have resulted in the improvement of not only the physical
appearance of targeted communities, but also of their
resilience and security.
