INVITATION FOR BIDS GOJ Community Electrification Project- 073691 in multiple Parishes

The Government of Jamaica established the Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) to assist in its poverty eradication programme. Jamaica Social Investment Fund has entered into a partnership with the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development for Facilitation of House Wiring Functions. The Jamaica Social Investment Fund intends to use part of the proceeds of this agreement to cover payments under the following contracts: 

  1. The Jamaica Social Investment Fund now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the GOJ Community Electrification Project- 073691 in multiple Parishes.

 

  1.  The works include, but are not limited to the following:

 The scope of works involves provision of Domestic House Wiring services as per GOJ Communities specified in the BQ. Basic electrification inclusive of provision of 2 lights/2 plugs and submission for GEI inspection.  Bid # 15483 – GOJ Community Electrification Project CONSTRUCTION PERIOD IS FOUR (4) MONTHS. 

  1. All Bidders and their named sub-contractors participating in Public Sector procurement opportunities shall include in their bid, proof of being tax compliant by including in their submission a valid Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC) or Tax Compliance Letter (TCL) and validation update from the relevant authority.  (See www.jamaicatax.gov.jm)
  2. All bidders and their named sub-contractors participating in Public Sector procurement opportunities shall include in their bid, proof of being registered with the Public Procurement Commission (PPC) at the time of bid opening in the category Grade 2 or higher in Electrical Works  (See www.integrity.gov.jm).

 5.   Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (LCB) procedures specified in the Government of Jamaica Handbook of Public Sector Procurement Procedures (Revised March 2014), Volume 2 of 4 Procedures for the Procurement of Goods, General Services & Works. Acomplete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a             written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Dollars (J$2,000.00) All bids must be submitted in printed copy. Original and Copy of the bid must be submitted in accordance with Instruction to Bidders. 8.       Bids must be delivered to the address below by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, October 15, 2021.      Late bids will be rejected.
