More Than $5 Billion Invested By JSIF in School Upgrading

Aberdeen Primary & Junior High School in North Eastern St. Elizabeth was rehabilitated by the JSIF through funding from the Caribbean Development Bank’s Community Investment Project at a cost of JM$ 28, 513, 052.01.

Managing Director of the Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF), Omar Sweeny, said that more than $5 billion has been invested by the Fund in the upgrading of schools across the island over the past 19 years.
This includes providing classroom space, fencing, playground, sanitation and other required equipment.
