JSIF to spend $44m on two Trelawny schools

Mr. Orville Hill, JSIF’s General Manager for Finance (R), along with Mr. Basil Bennett, Board Chairman of the Austin Primary School (3rd right), and members of the community, tour a section of the Austin Primary school, ahead of upgrading work to be undertaken at the school, by the JSIF implemented Community Investment Project, which is funded by the Caribbean Development Bank.

The Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) says that it will spend approximately $44 million on expanding and rehabilitating two schools in Trelawny within a four month period.Set to benefit from improvements, the Ulster Spring Basic and Dutch Hill Basic schools will be outfitted with additional classrooms, kitchen and play areas among other amenities.
