Guidelines for Completion of Application Form

 

The Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) through funding from the European Union and the Government of Jamaica invites Community Based Organisations (CBOs) to apply for funding for through the Grants of Low Amount (GOLA) Scheme.

 

Eligible CBOs must:

  • be a legally registered CBO in Jamaica

  • have been in operation for at least one year

  • be engaged in providing capacity building and development support services to communities

  •  apply using the GOLA application package available at the JSIF and SDC  offices OR on the JSIF, Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) and European  Union (EU) websites: www.jsif.org , www.pioj.gov.jm  and  www.deljam.ec.europa.eu

 

CBOs will be considered from the following communities currently scheduled to receive infrastructure projects funded by the PRP II in the following parishes:

 

Clarendon

Effortville

Kingston

Rockfort

St. Andrew

Jarrett Lane, Waterhouse, Kencot, Cassava Piece, Maverley

St. Catherine

Newlands, Gregory Park, Central Village, March Pen, Homestead, Wynter’s Pen

St. James

Canterbury, Glendevon, Norwood

 

Application Deadline: March 10, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.

 

An information session will be held on February 19, 2010 between 10:00 a.m. – 2 p.m. for all interested CBOs at the Jamaica Social Investment Fund, 1c-1f Pawsey Road, Kingston 5
