Public Safety Enhancement and Capacity Building

COMMUNITY CAPACITY BUILDING AND PUBLIC AWARENESS

The subcomponent will facilitate a series of capacity building activities for community-based organisations (CBOs) in project areas. CBO Training in capacity building, within March Pen, will include:

• Training in social/psychological issues, and community development
• Organisational development of CBOs
• Staffing Community Centre

This subcomponent will also facilitate a series of social marketing and public awareness campaigns aimed at improving awareness of the importance of sustainable use and management of project service and infrastructure, informing residents of project activities and fostering participation and behaviour.
